The Unix Hater’s Handbook, Reconsidered
2 Comments Published by Felipe Alfaro Solana June 28th, 2009 in PersonalAnd talking of the UNIX-HATERS Handbook and how outdated it is, I came across The Unix Hater’s Handbook, Reconsidered, digesting quickly through each chapter of the book and show nice counter arguments.
I did read the UHH some time ago and while of course it’s outdated, most of it it’s still true.
Like how many coders seem to relish on giving cryptic instructions (or none at all) to use their programs, they seem to believe “If I was able to write it, why anyone else should have it easier?”
The answer is: Don’t publish it then.
